Intel chief fears the chip crisis will prolong further

Intel chief Pat Gelsingh said the crisis was likely to be protracted six months after the chip crisis was projected to last until 2023.

"We thought it would last until 2023," he said.  Now we are seeing the impact of the deficit on parts now and some factories will face challenges.

He added that the issue of chip crisis is constantly changing.  Not all types of chips have the same effect.  The impact of this deficit is greater in certain industrial and parts manufacturing sectors.

Earlier, in an interview with a US television channel, Pat Gelsingh said that the situation regarding the chip crisis will continue to improve every quarter of next year.  But at least before 2023, we are not getting the balance of supply and demand.
