After eight and a half years, Argentina confirmed their place in the World Cup final after defeating Croatia in Qatar World Cup.  After 36 years, Argentina is on the verge of winning the title again. Argentina secured a 0-3 win over Croatia at the Luzail Iconic Stadium on Tuesday.  This match proved that there is Lionel Messi and there is also a Julian Alvarez who can win Argentina matches. 10 years ago this Julián Alvarez photographed as a Lionel Messi fan.  Both Messi and Alvarez are now playing together in Argentina's jersey.  These two Argentines are ruling the World Cup in Qatar.  Riding on the shoulders of these two forwards, Argentina reached the final for the sixth time. Messi scored Argentina's first goal against Croatia.  Alvarez has an indirect contribution to the goal.  In the 32nd minute, Alvarez found Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic alone from a counter attack.  Livakovic fouled the Argentine forward as he took a shot.  Argentina got a penalty, and at the same time the Croatian goalkeeper saw a yellow card.  Messi put Argentina ahead from the penalty in the 34th minute. Alvarez, whose welfare Messi wrote in the record books, it was Alvarez who then showed the magic.  In the 39th minute, as soon as he got the ball from the counter attack, the Croat went alone in the defense.  The centre-forward scored an eye-catching goal after beating two defenders in the box. The magic of the Messi-Alvarez duo can be seen during the 69th minute.  Alvarez made a pass past the surrounding Croat defenders.  Alvarez did the rest nicely. Messi scored 5 goals and assisted 3 goals in the World Cup.  Along with Kylian Mbappe, the top scorer of this World Cup is the Argentinian captain.  Alvarez scored 4 goals and assisted 1 goal. Julián Alvarez first came into the news last May with 6 goals in one match in the Copa Libertadores.  Alvarez was previously confirmed by Manchester City in January. He scored 7 goals in 20 matches for City this season before the World Cup.  He made his debut for Argentina's national team last June.
