Messi's World Cup journey stops in Qatar
Lionel Messi is passing the last years of his football career, he is past 35 and 36 years old. Having played in the World Cup for the first time in 2006, Qatar will be the last World Cup for the Argentine magician. Lionel Messi himself made such an announcement on Thursday (October 6).

Messi said this in an interview given to Argentine journalist Sebastian Viniolo. According to him, 'This is going to be my last World Cup, that's for sure. I have taken this decision.

Messi played in the World Cup for the first time in 2006. He got a chance to play in three matches in Germany. Where he scored a goal as well as an assist. The 2010 World Cup was forgettable for Messi. Even though he played 90 minutes in all the matches in that tournament, he could not score more than one goal, nor did he have any assists.
