Three more arrested in connection with attacks on Hindu houses and temples in Narail

 

The police have arrested three more in connection with the attack on the houses and temples of Sanatan religious people in Sahapara of Dighlia village of Lohagara upazila of Narail.   They were arrested after raiding the area on Sunday night.  The arrested persons are Said Sheikh (55) of Talbaria area, Rezaul Sheikh (40) of Batikabari and Masum Billah (30) of Boyra village.  Five people have been arrested in connection with the attack.  The first two, Russell Mridha (38) of Dighlia and Kabir Kazi (40) of Lutia were arrested yesterday afternoon.   The police filed a case on Sunday afternoon as a plaintiff in the attack on houses and shops in Sahapara.  Between 200 and 250 unidentified people have been accused in the case.   Officer-in-charge of Lohagara police station Sheikh Abu Hena said that the five arrested will be handed over to the court on Monday.  Attempts are being made to catch the others.  There is maximum effort to ensure security in that area.
