Urine in bed, the main cause may be kidney disease: BSMMU

 


Bedwetting is a disease in children.  It can also be caused by a urinary tract infection or kidney disease.  Those children have incomplete or immature urinary control.   Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has observed World Bedweighting Day or World Bed Urine Day-2022.  On this occasion, the Department of Pediatric Nephrology organized a scientific seminar on the occasion of the day on Thursday afternoon at MR Khan Hall, C-Block, University.   The seminar was attended by the chairpersons, teachers and doctors of different departments under the Faculty of Children.   Chairman of the Department of Pediatric Nephrology, Professor.  Afroza Begum, and Professor.  Ranjit Ranjan Roy presented the keynote address at the seminar.   It is said in the seminar that urinating in children's bed is a disease.  It can also be caused by a urinary tract infection or kidney disease.  Those children have incomplete or immature urinary control.  As a result, the baby urinates frequently, sometimes from place to place. Usually children between the ages of 8 and 12 are infected with bedwetting.   However, most parents do not consider it a disease.  Children suffer as a result of not taking cognizance. In that case, the parents should get the child treated immediately.   In fact, if a child is screened and treated at the Bangabandhu Medical University for the disease of urinating in bed, the affected child will recover quickly and become normal.
