Here are some tips to help you get rid of anxiety and keep your mind calm

Anxiety is an emotion that is an expression of the body's internal turmoil. It is usually manifested through an unpleasant condition.  This is due to extreme anxiety and negative thoughts.  This leads to changes in behavior and body.

Here are 7 key pointers in moving forward with your work.

The first step is to try to stick to a routine or activity of walking, dancing, rock climbing or yoga that will help relieve stress and anxiety.  Regular exercise lowers stress hormone levels and helps secrete endorphins, which keep the mind in a good mood and act as a natural painkiller.  Regular exercise builds confidence and works.  Which results in staying mentally healthy.

Sunbathing sometime after exercise can improve the body and increase serotonin levels.  Serotonin is a hormone that can calm the mind and make it more focused. Sunbathing every day is not only good for the mind, it is also good for the body.  Contributes to reducing the release of hormones such as blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension and stress.

Meditation has been practiced for ages to reduce anxiety. It has been said that only 30 minutes of meditation is more beneficial than taking medicine to relieve stress.  Regular meditation helps in relieving stress, anxiety, restlessness and good sleep.

Writing is also a helpful tool for improving mental health.  If someone is struggling with negative thoughts, one of the strategies to get rid of the tension and stress is to write all the negative thoughts on a piece of paper and then tear or burn the paper.  It symbolically helps the mind to understand that these thoughts are no longer needed.

If you are suffering from a chronic panic attack or anxiety, you can start practicing ‘Grounding Strategy’ called 5,4.3,2,1.  Which helps to communicate or connect with the reality around us.  In the beginning, you need to look for five things that are going to be found around you.

Then, one has to notice four things that can be touched around;  Then there are the three things that can be heard all around;  You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.

Deep abdominal breathing should be practiced and repeated until the body calms down. When one is anxious, one should take quick shallow breaths which come directly from the chest, but chest breathing does not supply oxygen to the blood properly and as a result heart rate, head  Dizziness, muscle tension and anxiety may increase.

However, deep abdominal breathing increases the supply of oxygen to the brain and makes you feel calm.  Deep breathing reduces anxiety and stress.
