The inventor of the mobile phone is fed up with the addiction to the mobile phone

American engineer Martin Cooper.  He is called the father of mobile phones.  He said, 'The possibilities of the little device we all have in our pockets are endless.  One day it is possible to cure diseases with this device.

But now people are somewhat addicted to mobile phones.  From his office in Delmar, Calif., the 94-year-old engineer said, "I get really upset when I see someone crossing the street looking at their cell phone." He joked that some people might realize it after being hit by a car.

Cooper was wearing an Apple Watch.  He uses an iPhone.  Cooper likes to keep pace with the times.  Still, he said, 'I will never understand how my grandchildren are using mobile phones.'

In late 1972, Cooper decided to invent a device that could be used anywhere.  As you think, you act.  Cooper and his team invented the Dyna Tac-Dynamic Adaptive Total Area Coverage phone in late March of that year.  The weight of such phones was more than one kg.  The battery used in these phones could only talk for 25 minutes.  "That wasn't really the problem," Cooper said.  These phones were so heavy that they could not be held for more than 25 minutes.

Those early mobile phones were not cheap at all.  Cooper said each phone cost $5,000.

Cooper said, 'Mobile phones are very useful now.  We were just getting started.  It started with what this phone can do.

Early on, Cooper knew that one day everyone would have this phone in their hands.  He said, and now that time has come.  Cooper also said, 'There are more mobile phone subscribers than people in today's world.  So a part of our dream has come true.

Cooper also said that the problem is that people are becoming addicted to mobile phones.  However, Cooper is not too worried about this.  He said, 'There are always challenges in front of new technology.  When television first came out, people were hooked.  But now we understand, there is a fixed time and management for watching TV.
